The Germans have given us many wonderful things over the years, but Upland Brewing Company puts their beers at the top of that list. Upland wants you to consider this Oktoberfest Bavarian Lager as a small tribute to our stein-swinging friends. Naturally, they’ve put their own spin on things, creating a Märzen-style craft beer lager with body, maltiness and subtle caramel flavor that set it apart.
The Indiana craft brewery announced today that Oktoberfest will be released in early August on draught and in six packs. It will be available on tap at Upland brewpubs and tasting rooms in late August.
Rich and malty without sacrificing any of the smooth, crisp character that defines true German lagers, Upland Oktoberfest is an authentic representation of a classic style. Dark amber in color, a lightly toasted malt character is complemented with notes of caramel and toffee. A blend of three German hop varieties provides perfect balance and a clean finish to this Autumnal favorite.

About the Brewery: The name Upland derives from the term geologists gave to the hilly region surrounding Bloomington, Indiana, which was never overrun by the glaciers that flattened much of Indiana’s landscape. The adversity of the geography bred independent thinkers who had strong wills, a connection to the land, and a wry sense of humor about life. The brewery’s mission of “making remarkable beers in remarkable ways” honors the spirit of these people and this place. Upland brews over 50 different styles of beer annually.
