Two decades of innovative brewing and remaining true craft is worth celebrating. To commemorate its significant milestone,Stone Brewing is staging its largest annual charity event—the Stone 20th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival—on August 19 and 20. Southern California’s largest annual 100% craft beer festival will take place at California State University, San Marcos in north San Diego County. As in past years, Stone will proudly contribute all proceeds to these non-profit organizations: Surfrider Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, YMCA of San Diego County and Fight ALD.
“Each year, we invite our closest craft brewing comrades and fans to join us in raising a glass to our company’s growth and the progress craft beer has made as a whole,” said Stone CEO & co-founder Greg Koch. “Thanks to all of the people who have attended our Anniversary Celebration and Invitational Beer Festivals in the past, we’ve been able to raise more than $3 million for local charities through the years.”
On Friday, August 19, from 6 to 9pm, the two-day celebration begins with the VIP Brewers Reception, where guests have an opportunity to mingle with world-class brewers and sample their craft beer creations. Koch will be joined by a few fellow craft beer legends for a panel discussion kicking off at 7pm. Tickets are $85 and include a commemorative glass, unlimited three-ounce samples of more than 40 special beers (many of which will only be available that evening), complimentary gourmet edibles from Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, live music and President & co-founder Steve Wagner’s Cigar Lounge.
Exclusively for its 20th anniversary, Stone will be showcasing special Encores of Stone Anniversary IPAs: 5th, 15th and 20th — all on tap at the same time…and all served fresh!
The main event of the Stone 20th Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival involves two sessions—Session A, from 1 to 4pm (sold out), and Session B, from 5 to 8pm. Tickets for each session are $55 and include:
As an added feature to Saturday sessions A and B, guests may enjoy private tastings with rock stars of craft beer in a relaxed and intimate setting. This $15 upgrade includes a private 30-minute presentation and samples of two beers hand-selected by an A-lister of the craft beer community.
