Summertime means camping, trips to the beach, backyard barbeques and, of course, ice cold craft beer.  Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company is celebrating summer with their newest beer release, FMB 101 Blonde Ale, in six-packs of 12oz bottles releasing Friday, July 1, 2016 in taprooms and select retailers.  This crisp, clean ale has a light body and refreshing taste with a sessionable alcohol-by-volume of 4.8%.  With practically no bitterness at only 16 IBU (international bitterness units), FMB 101 Blonde Ale is a great way to cool down during the hot summer days.

“Our ‘101 Blonde’ is a spin-off of our original ‘101’ beer which started off as a Kölsch-style ale.  We decided to revise the original recipe for a cleaner finish,” explains FigMtnBrew Buellton’s Head Brewer, David Traille. “With a few tweaks, including changing the yeast to a California Ale yeast, we were able to produce a super friendly beer that appeals to a wide variety of tastes.”

FMB 101 Blonde Ale is brewed with Tettnang and Northern Brewer hops along with pale malt, flaked wheat and honey malt producing notes of noble hop flavors, honey, a hint of stone fruit and fresh grain.
