“What’s Good for Bourbon Is Better for Beer. Touched by Wood. Brewed with Limestone Water.” This is the basic motto and premise of Louisville craft brewery, Goodwood Brewing Co. Their operation, focusing on barrel-aged products, has been incredibly successful since rebranding from their previous Bluegrass Brewing Co. (BBC) name.
Phil Dearner, owner of Goodwood, joins me to talk about his company’s evolution. He has some insights about how millennials affect the craft beer scene, job creation within the beverage industry, and he explains why the Kentucky Guild of Brewers, a relatively young organization, is already considered the gold standard of local brewer associations.
The Building Breweries Podcast is currently procuring sponsorships for future episodes in order to fund new audio equipment! If you are a business (or perhaps know of a business), I’d love to discuss options and opportunities with you. Feel free to e-mail me at email@example.com.
If you know of a brewery with an interesting origin story or background, or if you are a brewery and think you have a story to share, I’d be more than willing to learn more about it! Please reach out to me on twitter or Facebook.
As always, I would be grateful if you subscribed to Building Breweries on iTunes and left me a rating/review. It would go a long way in helping me grow and attract other breweries.
Thank you for listening!
