This is an exciting episode for me. Before speaking with the Mayor, I recorded with Brian Holton live from Monnik Beer Co. of Louisville’s Schnitzelburg neighborhood. Brian and I discussed his original Beer Engine brewery, red tape in opening a new craft brewery, as well as what beers are just off limits to their brewmaster. We look into Schnitzelburg’s history and talk a little bit about the Dainty World Championship being played right there in Schnitzelburg this upcoming July.
Additionally, I had Louisville’s Mayor on the Podcast speaking with me all about the changes in the Louisville Beverage scene, his favorite craft beers, and how craft breweries affect local communities and local economies. We also get into the historic Bock Fest of Nulu and a learn a little more about Mayor Fischer’s drinking preferences and childhood.
If you know of a brewery with an interesting origin story or background, or if you are a brewery and think you have a story to share, I’d be more than willing to learn more about it! Please reach out to me on twitter or Facebook.
As always, I would be grateful if you subscribed to Building Breweries on iTunes and left me a rating/review. It would go a long way in helping me grow and attract other breweries.
The Building Breweries Podcast is currently procuring sponsorships for future episodes in order to fund new audio equipment! Additionally, I will be making the trip down to Tampa, Florida for the annual Beer Bloggers and Writers Conference and would love to have a sponsor for the trip. If you are a business (or perhaps know of a business), I’d love to discuss options and opportunities with you. Feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for listening!
