Market Garden Brewery in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, OH will add cans to its every-day beer lineup as it launches three additional core brands into the Northeast, Central, and Southeast Ohio markets through Superior Beverage Group’s wholesale network.
“With the overwhelming success of our existing core and seasonal beer offerings since we launched in mid-2016, I felt like the time was right to explore adding to our portfolio of year round brands,” said Co-founder Michael Foran. “The growth timed perfectly for our desire to add cans to our successful bottled repertoire as well.”
Brewmaster and Co-Founder Andy Tveekrem and his Head Brewer Patrick Daniels sourced a supplier who was the industry leader in seaming to custom build a canning line perfect for the brewery’s size, with the proper quality checks that you’d expect to see on a canning line built for the mega brewers — which had previously not been available at their scale.
“Knowing our quality standards would not be compromised with access to this newly custom-built line, I felt comfortable having our team proceed into world of craft cans,” added Foran.
Market Garden is canning Chinook Strike IPA, Nano OG Lager, and Frosty Lime Wit w/Tangerine and will have limited draft availability on the three brands. All three are outfitted with the Independent Craft Certification and all were released into the market this week.
Additionally, Market Garden is finishing renovation of 2000 square feet of its production brewery to house its new Barrel Room filled with 300 barrels that will house beers destined for release monthly in 2018. The releases will be available on draft at the brewpub, in 1L bottles at the MGB retail store at the production brewery, and in limited draft 1/6bbls at area craft centric taphouses. Future bottle releases of 4 packs in the retail market are in the plans for 2019. Releases will include beers aged in Middle West Spirits barrels, Cabernet and Sauv Blanc barrels, Calvados barrels, and several others to be revealed in the next few months.
